Question & Answer.

Q: What is one of your loves, a simple thing that probably doesn't mean much to anyone else?

A: Finding a piece of clothing -jacket, shoes, bag anything, whatever it may be - that just pulls your wardrobe together.

For me this has to be my army jacket. I've mentioned before that it was an absolute steal at £2 on EBay, it is originally from Gap mens & something that since receiving in the post I have worn practically everyday.

I love the fact that it goes with everything pretty much & has opened up my wardrobe to me. I am starting to pull out old Topshop dresses that haven't seen daylight for years that will go perfectly with the army jacket. Maybe it was fate that brought us together, maybe it just happened. Whatever the answer, I'm happy we are together!

What is you're answer to the question?

Dancing & Drinks.

This is the first of my outfits from the weekend. This one being the going out installment. I love this crop top from ASOS, polo necks may be my new thing... watch this space! I know you are all on the edge of your seats...

I love these Zara sandals, I just wish they didn't cut my toes up. I came on with a bloody foot all because of these bad boys.

Style Crush #12

Lara Bingle.

I only became aware of Lara Bingle's existence recently but after doing a little research into who she is & her style, her style especially, she is now a known to me! Her style is beautiful. Simple, chic with a little rock edge.

Just for one night

These H&M trousers are perfect for £9.99. Amazing fit, cut & they are available in a whole pile of colours! I love the bracelet too, another H&M find & is featured in the my post about rose gold jewellery.

These pictures are terrible quality but I was in a rush this morning. I really need to work on my picture quality!

Rose gold

I'm late on the bandwagon that is rose gold but now that I've jumped on H&M seems to be the place to get affordable & interesting pieces in the pinky gold toned family.

These pieces I found recently for under £5 each. They are both quite statement pieces which definitely grab eyes in the street. I like both with a simple tshirt combo allowing the necklace or bracelet to speak for themselves.

Everyday Face

I am really enjoying my make up routine at the moment. You know when you find products that just work for you every application - I'm there right now. These are my main products minus an MUA Black eyeshadow but I mean seen one black eye shadow, seen them all really.

I'm loving a dewy finish to my skin right now & was a massive Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum user until I decided to branch out & try the Rimmel 'Wake me up' Foundation (200 Soft Beige) which is a gorgeous foundation, maybe nicer than the Bourjois...

The Lasting Perfection concealer I use on any blemishes & the Bourjois as a little extra coverage on my cheeks & under my eyes. I set it all with the Healthy Mix powder which is alright but I doubt I will be repurchasing. Blush is normal either Nars 'Deep Throat' or Rimmel 'Smoked Oyster' both beautiful colours & consistencies. I contour & if I remember highlight with my Sleek kit in light.

I lightly fill in my brows with the MUA Blonde pencil & then line my eyes with Inika eye pencil I got free in a magazine, it is a gorgeous charcoal grey-black that set with black shadow looks nice & smokey & smudgey. I finish with Rimmel 'Extra Wow Lash' mascara applied with the wand from YSL shocking mascara.

The YSL is my favourite mascara of all time but a little pricey for me, I have found however that the wand works amazingly well with other mascaras.

It's you that's keeping me alive.

Taking outfit photographs is so much easier on a sunny day especially as my bedroom gets a decent amount of the bright, light hot stuff that is sunshine. A sight not seen all too often in Scotland. I feel the sunshine, cropped trouser season is coming to a close not so great for me as I just purchased these trousers from H&M but I couldn't not, the print was just too inviting. Again with my army jacket but it was a bargain at £2 not £4 as I said before (£4 was the postage...) & it goes with everything so expect to see it a lot...

Style Crush #11

She may not be everyone's cup of tea in Made in Chelsea but personalities & opinions on such aside, the girl has style!

Rosie Fortescue mixes designer & high street to perfection. Along side a mixture of  textures, patterns & colours. Everything is pretty simple but styled to perfection & kept interesting through accessories including hats, handbags, jewellery & sunglasses.

My favourites have to be oufit 3, outfit 4 & outfit 5 ... or all of them! What is your favourite?

10 September 2012

There I met you.

Everything about this outfit I love. The over sized tshirt was one of those things I lusted after in my mind then saw one day in H&M. Before I knew what was going on, it was mine! The army jacket was an EBay steal at £4 & is exactly what I had hoped it would be. Perfect for transitioning between Summer & Autumn. Autumn dressing has to be my favourite, it just works for me I guess!

Jacket - EBay

9 September 2012

I like to think that my blog is a good & honest representation of me, this said I thought I would include a few posts about books. Reading is a massive hobby for me, sitting down & getting completely lost in a book is one of my favourite things to do so I want to try to incorporate this into Erratic Glamour.

I read anything, if it sparks an interest in me; romance, crime, autobiographical, classic, fiction, non-fiction... My love from reading comes from my dad, he is the smartest person I know & has so much knowledge across such a range of topics I guess, I sort of aspire to this quality. He always told me 'If you don't know something (and want to to know more) look it up!' This has led to quite a new flicks through encyclopedias & Googles of the strangest nature but I found the answer to my ponder!

Some of my favourite read:
'Pride & Prejudice' by Jane Austen
Simply for Elizabeth Bennet as a character, Mr Darcy *Swoon* & the love story!

'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee If you have not read this book, go & do it. It is such a wonderful story. The best book I read in all my school exams. Truly wonderful.

Sherlock Holmes Collection of Short Stories by Arthur Conan Doyle His image of Victorian London is so beautifully & accurately portrayed along with the search for the criminal, the character of Sherlock Holmes & his relationship with Dr Watson. Quite a heavy read but if you like this genre definitely check them out!

I am currently reading Ernest Hemingway 'A Moveable Feast' which is making me crave a Parisian life & 'The Constant Princess' By Phillipa Gregory, this is about Katherine of Aragon. I read 'The Other Boleyn Girl' first which was probably a mistake but I know what happens in the end of all the tudor series book so no big surprises really...

What are you reading? x

To ease the loss of youth

I wear this top far too much but I love the shape of it & it seems to go with pretty much everything! My favourite part of this outfit has to be the rose gold H&M necklace - it is so simple yet extremely statement at the same time. I have plans for this with another outfit but that will be coming up soon! I'm not doing too much today so just a simple easy one. I'm also back to wearing eye liner, I missed it too much...

Happy Friday!

Where have you been?

I know I've been missing for a while but sadly I had to surrender my laptop to the people at Know How to get a new hard drive ... this meaning EVERYTHING on my laptop is gone! Sad times but I suppose it is a fresh start?! Whatever the point of view I will be back blogging from now again. I was really getting back into blogging before the a fore mentioned tragedy struck but I am hoping once I get back into it again then it will come back...

Hope you're all well x
