Baby Pink.

You know that way when you see something while online window shopping - it's a thing, trust me - and you keep thinking about it, a bit like having a crush on a boy (yuck!), and eventually either purchase online on a whim or head in store to eye up the said good and eventually part ways with your hard earned cash. I took the latter route. A total planned impulse buy.

The result is this beautiful baby bike biker jacket being added to my collection of jackets. At £59.99, I don't feel that bad because it is a versatile piece that I'll get a lot of wear out of... thanks Zara. It also comes in a baby blue colour as well but apparently I am apparently turning into a pink girl. In the words of Bob Dylan, the times they are a changing!

HOME / H&M

H&M home cups £3.99 each

H&M home elephant pillow case £3.99

H&M home has only recently come to Edinburgh and I for one am very about this. I love a good ol' homeware shop espeically when they have unique bits that are affordable. That is exactly what I found with H&M Home. I only picked up three bits because I have quite a lot of new bits in my room so didn't want to go too crazy. Recently my make up brushes had been stuffed in a white ceramic square pot which served the purpose but when I saw these gorgeous patterned cups, I couldn't walk past them. They have matching bowls and side plates too if you are looking for a little dinner set.

The pillow was bought purely because there is an elephant on it and I love elephants! It is the start of my new collection thing - random cushions for my bed. Every collection of cushions should start with an elephant pillow!

M O R E - B O O K S

Adding to my pile of books that I want to read this year/soon is not something that I really needed to do but if you see a book you fancy then you should buy it. Books are a sensible use of the dolla. That's my story and I am sticking to it! And if I'm being fair to myself, one book was bought for me so really I only bought three...

F A S H I O N : Z A R A - H A U L

I am a little bit late on jumping on the Zara sale bandwagon, it's February & these are the only things I've bought from Zara since the sale began. That my friends is self control. So as you may or may not know, I got a new job which led my lovely grandparents to send me a little card with some money in as a well done. I figured buying some new bits for work would be a sensible move.

Polka dot blouse £12.99
I had considered this blouse before Christmas but didn't actually buy it till now and I am so glad I did. It is a lovely material and a decent length coming to sit on the hip. I've worn it with black jeans, boots & my black fur gilet to work and at night with black leather trousers and black platforms.

Black High Neck Jumper with Key Hole Detail on the back - £7.99
I didn't include the whole jumper because essentially it is just a plain black round neck jumper so all you can see is the detail on the back. I'm not entirely sure about the front of the jumper, I think it sits a little oddly but the detail on the back is perfect.

Poppy Print Skirt- £9.99
Mama erratic glamour sent me a newspaper cutting of this skirt towards the end of the summer, I agreed it was lovely but didn't feel like spending £29.99 on it. Fate obviously brought the two of us together! The skirt is a beautiful, bright piece that I can see myself wearing in the summer with sandals and a camisole or while it's colder with a chunky sweater and some boots.

So that is my little Zara haul! Zara sale is just too good to avoid. Anyone get any good buys in the sales?

Fashion: New job, new clothes

Starting a new job is nerve wracking. Even more so when it is your first 'adult' job. Scary, scary times. Naturally this meant that some new threads was necessary, got to look the part right? With this in mind I picked up a few new bits here and there over the past few weeks in order to be office ready!

Forever 21 Basics - Grey long sleeved top £6.95 Blue & Black Vest tops £3.90 each

Forever 21 printed trousers £13.95
H&M Leather Trousers £24.99
H&M Printed Trousers £14.99

H&M Fluffy Cardigan £29.99

H&M Floral Print Dress £19.99

I might put together a few little outfits with these bits maybe at the weekend just to show how I might wear them. I haven't worn them all to work yet - it is only day two! Happy Tuesday!

Fashion: Hauling.

shopping wasn't my main aim of my trip into town but i somehow came away with a few little treats for myself. what's a girl to do! i had the idea of a new bag in my head for a while and the shoes had been a long time coming. They are necessary if you saw the state of my old Fred Perry Tennis pumps which they sadly have discontinued.

Bag £19.99 in the Mango Sale. Earrings £9.99 (Not a sale item)

Cobalt Blue V Neck Basic Tee Forever 21 £3, Rings £3-4 per pack

Vans Schuh £40

i saw this bag and after much posing in the mirror decided to get it, at half price i would only regret it. it is a totally different style for me as i normally go for a "wag" bag style. over the shoulder is actually a lot more functional plus i like the 'look' of the bag. the earrings were 100% a splurge moment purchase, i love the shape of them which is basically why i bought them. possibly with a a simple vest top, jeans and heels... watch this space i guess.

the tshirt is the product of my forever 21 procrastination order and has actually been a very successful order. the tshirt is a nice cut, good quality and a gorgeous colour. all for £3, bargain! as for the rings, i had been searching out simple gold bands for as long as i can remember but all the ones i came across came up a little expensive. finding this pack of normal rings and above the knuckle rings for under £4 is such a steal. they are exactly what i was hunting for. the other rings again were just what i was looking for, some simple rings that aren't totally plain but not massively in your face. forever 21 is definitely a stop for accessories.

finally meet my lovely new vans. i debated between vans or converse for ages then once i had eventually settled for vans the colour debate raged. black or grey? in the end i settled for grey, i wear a lot of black anyway so this is a nice little change if only shifting one colour! i cannot wait to wear these babies.

apart from a phone case that is on it's way to me, that is my shopping stash for now. i was thinking the other day about how much my style has changed again. i went through a little period where i changed *a lot* to fit with someone when really i should have stuck to who i was and what i liked rather than changing for a silly reason. in the end, i only made myself miserable!

Happy Tuesday lovlies

Patterns, Heels & Dresses

H&M is a little hit and miss sometimes. There are times I go in and I want everything and others when nothing jumps out at me and I leave empty handed and sad to not have some other item to add to my already bursting wardrobe.

These printed pants were on a Spring Offer. Originally £14.99 each, reduced to £7.49 each - bargain! I love trousers especially printed ones. I'm still figuring out how I want to wear them - the great tight vest top vs loose vneck tee debate is raging, it is tense! - I love the depth of the red print. They look more luxurious and a richer, heavier fabric rather than they actually are.  The black with white print will go with so much. I am searching for a orange tshirt to go with these, I think it would look amazing.

The next was a "I really shouldn't buy these but I am going to" moment - we all have these! These New Look pumps were a steal at £16 (Students get 20% off at the moment) and go with everything, pretty much! I plan on wearing them with this lace sundress from H&M. I didn't have dressy shoes that would go with it on a night out so I had to buy them! My bad...

The dress is just so girly and perfect. Totally not me but I love it with a bright clutch and a deep tan. Perfect. This dress comes in mint green too, I bought this but decided that I didn't need two of the same dress when we will probably have a week of summer sunshine! This dress is exceptionally hard to photography when not on the body but you get the general idea.

Happy Friday!
