Ring.

Blog shops have been a long standing method of jewellery consumption for a good few years. Blogger jewellery shops offer something different from that of the High Street. This ring from Ella Bella Jewellery is a case in point. I bought this beautiful little ring for £4.99 as an impulse purchase. When I got it through the post, it was love at first sight. It has a beautiful blue-green stone in it that in some lights is really deep blue then can be a more aqua blue. So beautiful & a great talking point. I am already considering buying the other colours as it is just such a beautiful ring!

Listen to the silence, that hurts my heart.

Looking back on the photographs, this tshirt probably isn't the most flattering. I mean it covers my waist - my smallest part - but sometimes a baggy tshirt is what my body calls for. It isn't overly baggy, I liked it even if it makes me look a bit shapeless. Worse things have happened!

I have really gotten into lipstick recently, I figured a coral lip would dress this outfit up a little even if I did have to use a pink lipliner... amateur. These boots are in the bad books at the moment. Seeing as stone cold sober, I fell over in the middle of the street?! Hello ripped favourite trousers. I don't know what happened to them, they are normally fine but this time they were really slide-y on basically any floor?! Weird.

Re-trench

 photo PicMonkeyCollage-1_zps4b007f92.jpg

I wore this for uni & shopping one day but looking back on it, I'm not sure how I feel about it. I feel very Caroline Flack in it... ankle boots, collared shirt & trench coat. This Topshop swing hemmed coat was an impulse buy about 4 years ago, I had not worn it in a long, long time but decided to pull it out. I love trench coats *dreams of a Burberry* they are so classic & perfect to wear anytime.

She's just a girl

A lot of black- again - but you've come to expect it now, I'm sure. I am trying to wear less black & also things that are more fitted as baggy stuff just doesn't really suit my shape but sometimes a big baggy tshirt & cardigan are what feels good... I did add a splash of colour with my scarf & red nail polish anything to distract from my newly dyed black hair! If you follow me on Twitter, you will know this was an accident but I actually quite like it now with a tan & some make up ... que my chummy calling me Kris Jenner! I like it for now, I always get so bored with my hair colour, I suppose it is part of having a short cut you can play about with colour a little more!

One more thing before I go & get back to my dissertation proposal which I will be using all of you lovely people for (if you are willing to help! *hopeful face*) as it is on Social Media in particular fashion blogging!

PS I love my Fur Gilet! <3

This midi dress was a sale find in New Look that has been sitting in my wardrobe waiting to be worn. Today was the red dresses day. I want to introduce some more colours into my wardrobe as I always seem to be wearing black! This was a nice change, colour isn't that scary! I wore this with my leather jacket, fur stole & my tan Zara bag for a rather long day at uni!

I recently joined Chictopia, this is my page: Chictopia

if you are on there, please come & say hello!

What's velvet & fluffy?

After a Friday afternoon pay day splurge I decided University today was the perfect time to debut my new purchases - a little over exaggerated but my Mum does say I have a vivid imagination! I have been really loving textures recently in particular velvet. I searched for velvet trousers for what seemed like forever then I discovered the Molly jeggings from River Island. These are the comfiest trousers ever, they have plenty of give all the while having the velvet effect that I dreamt of. Another texture in this outfit is the 'fluffy' texture of this H&M jumper - fluffy is about all I can muster up, I'm sorry - which was a bargain & will definitely become a winter staple. All black but one day colour will pop up...

What you want, what you need.

Just a simple outfit for university. I haven't blogged in what feels like forever but I have been working 6/7 days solid recently which has taken its toll but I am off from Wednesday to Sunday so I will defenitly be preparing some posts so I don't fall behind again.

I got a tripod the other week  & this was my first time using it - why I didn't buy one before is beyond me. It makes life so much easier!

It's you that's keeping me alive.

Taking outfit photographs is so much easier on a sunny day especially as my bedroom gets a decent amount of the bright, light hot stuff that is sunshine. A sight not seen all too often in Scotland. I feel the sunshine, cropped trouser season is coming to a close not so great for me as I just purchased these trousers from H&M but I couldn't not, the print was just too inviting. Again with my army jacket but it was a bargain at £2 not £4 as I said before (£4 was the postage...) & it goes with everything so expect to see it a lot...

Style Crush #11

She may not be everyone's cup of tea in Made in Chelsea but personalities & opinions on such aside, the girl has style!

Rosie Fortescue mixes designer & high street to perfection. Along side a mixture of  textures, patterns & colours. Everything is pretty simple but styled to perfection & kept interesting through accessories including hats, handbags, jewellery & sunglasses.

My favourites have to be oufit 3, outfit 4 & outfit 5 ... or all of them! What is your favourite?

10 September 2012

There I met you.

Everything about this outfit I love. The over sized tshirt was one of those things I lusted after in my mind then saw one day in H&M. Before I knew what was going on, it was mine! The army jacket was an EBay steal at £4 & is exactly what I had hoped it would be. Perfect for transitioning between Summer & Autumn. Autumn dressing has to be my favourite, it just works for me I guess!

To ease the loss of youth

I wear this top far too much but I love the shape of it & it seems to go with pretty much everything! My favourite part of this outfit has to be the rose gold H&M necklace - it is so simple yet extremely statement at the same time. I have plans for this with another outfit but that will be coming up soon! I'm not doing too much today so just a simple easy one. I'm also back to wearing eye liner, I missed it too much...

Happy Friday!

Getting so much younger.

Just a really simple outfit - as I seem to say everytime - I'm just off reteraunt hunting & to see about the blue screen of death that keeps appearing on my laptop... #pleasebeok

I love this blouse from H&M, it is so versatile & comfortable, it was an absolute bargain too. The bag I got for Christmas but it is one of those things that before my style changed fitted with my old sense of style. Maybe it was a catalyst in the change... Who knows!

Happy Saturday everyone!

We're lost in these covers

Topshop vest & skirt River Island watch Ebay rings No7 Hot Chilli lipstick

I thought it was going to be a glorious day today hence the ensemble sadly this didn't happen & is now pouring but it was dry while I was out so I can't complain really. This knitted vest was in the Topshop sale for half price & has been handy for day time & nights out, I think it is just one of those pieces that goes with anything & everything. Although I do wish I had bought it in a size bigger so it was a little baggier rather than being as fitted as it is but not much I can do about that now! I have to buy a new black maxi soon, this one has started to that washed out way but it has seen my through since winter!

I'm loving my minimal make up still especially the way bright lips look with it, the eyeliner lover might be a major convert...

Collars & Knuckles.

Simplicity is slowly easing its self into other areas of my life other than my clothes, I've been opting for simpler, finer jewellery along with less make up. It can only save me time while getting ready, that's the thought anyways?!

Collar necklaces & these little above the knuckles rings are favourites of mine right now - they are simple enough to not get in the way while still being interesting & offering conversation topics/starters - if conversation starting or topics are a struggle. I like to think of them as a last resort, que playing wing woman & entertaining the friend who asks the intriguing question: "What is with your little, tiny rings?!" I rest my case.
